The Gujarat Gaun Seva Pasandgi Mandal (GSSSB) has released an official notification (Advt. No. 370/2025-26) for the recruitment of Fireman cum Driver, Class-3 under the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC). A total of 138 vacancies have been announced. Interested candidates can apply online via the official OJAS portal starting from December 9, 2025. Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the GSSSB Fireman cum Driver Vacancy 2025, ensure you meet the following educational and physical requirements.

1. Educational Qualification

• Basic: Passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Standard 12th Pass) or equivalent.
• Technical: Must possess a certificate of 6 months Fireman course OR Driver-cum-Pump Operator course from a government-recognized institute.
• License: Must hold a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License.
• Computer Skill: Basic knowledge of computer usage (CCC or equivalent).
• Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

2. Age Limit (As on 23/12/2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 33 Years

Age Relaxation:

• Reserved Categories (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) Male: +5 Years
• Women (General): +5 Years
• Women (Reserved): +10 Years (Subject to max 45 years)

3. Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the minimum physical measurements to be eligible.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed pay basis for the initial period.

• Fixed Pay (First 3 Years): ₹ 26,000/- per month.
• After 5 Years: Upon satisfactory completion of service, candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-2 (₹ 19,900 – ₹ 63,200).

Application Fee

Fees must be paid online. The good news is that fees are refundable for candidates who appear for the exam.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern : Fireman cum Driver Recruitment

The selection will be based on a competitive written exam (MCQ method) which may be conducted via CBRT (Computer Based Response Test) or OMR.

Total Marks: 210 | Total Time: 180 Minutes (3 Hours)

Part A (Qualifying Standard: 40%)

1. Reasoning & Data Interpretation: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
2. Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
   • Total Part A: 60 Marks

Part B (Qualifying Standard: 40%)

1. Constitution, Current Affairs, Comprehension (Guj/Eng): 30 Questions (30 Marks)
2. Subject Related (Fire & Safety): 120 Questions (120 Marks)
   • Total Part B: 150 Marks

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

1. Visit the official OJAS website: ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
2. Click on “Online Application” > “Apply”.
3. Select “GSSSB” from the list and find Advt No 370/202526.
4. Click on “Apply Now” and then “New Registration” (if not registered) or enter your OTR details.
5. Fill in the personal, educational, and communication details carefully.
6. Upload your scanned Photo and Signature.
7. Click on Confirm Application (Note: You cannot edit after confirmation).
8. Copy your Confirmation Number.
