ExamConnect respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how ExamConnect collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, web portal, and Android mobile application.
By using ExamConnect, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. About ExamConnect
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “ExamConnect”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the ExamConnect education platform.
Our services include:

Together, these are referred to as the “Service”.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use ExamConnect.
Account Information
When you create or use an ExamConnect account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, account identifier, profile information, and other information necessary to provide your account and learning services.
If you sign in using Google Sign-In, Google may provide us with basic account information such as your name, email address, profile image, and a Google account identifier, depending on the permissions granted.
ExamConnect does not receive or store your Google password.
Learning and Exam Activity
When you use ExamConnect learning and examination features, we may process information such as test attempts, selected answers, scores, results, answer-review activity, learning progress, weak topics, revision activity, syllabus progress, planner activity, Study Materials usage, Daily Quiz activity, Current Affairs and Facts interactions, and other educational activity associated with your account.
We use this information to provide your exam history, results, learning tools, recommendations, progress tracking, and related educational features.
Usage and Technical Information
We may automatically collect technical and usage information about how the Service is used. This may include app interactions, screen or feature usage, app version, operating system information, device or app-instance identifiers, IP address, network information, crash information, diagnostics, and other technical information required to operate, secure, analyze, and improve ExamConnect.
Some of this information may be collected through third-party service providers such as Firebase.
3. Advertising ID
The current ExamConnect Android application does not use the Android Advertising ID for advertising or tracking purposes.
The production Android application does not request the Android Advertising ID permission, and Advertising ID collection through Firebase Analytics has been disabled.
ExamConnect may still use non-advertising app-instance or device-related identifiers where required for analytics, diagnostics, security, messaging, or proper operation of the Service. Advertising ID and ordinary technical/device identifiers are not the same thing.
4. Google Firebase Services
The ExamConnect Android application uses selected Google Firebase services.
Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with ExamConnect, such as feature usage and app interactions. This helps us improve the application and understand general usage patterns.
Advertising ID collection is disabled for the ExamConnect Android application.
Firebase Crashlytics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes, application errors, ANRs, and technical problems. Crash reports may include technical information about the device, app version, operating system, diagnostic information, and circumstances surrounding an error.
Firebase Crashlytics can collect crash reports automatically unless collection is disabled by the application configuration.
Firebase Cloud Messaging
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to support app notifications, such as important service, learning, exam, or application-related notifications.
Notification delivery may involve device or app-instance identifiers required by Firebase to route notifications to the correct installation.
5. How We Use Your Information
We may use information collected through ExamConnect to provide and maintain the Service; create, authenticate, and manage user accounts; provide tests, results, answer reviews, learning tools and Study Materials; save and synchronize educational progress; provide technical support; send important account, service, exam, or learning notifications; detect errors, abuse, fraud, or security issues; analyze app performance and feature usage; improve ExamConnect products and user experience; comply with legal obligations; and protect the security and integrity of our users and services.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
6. Payments
The current Google Play Android release of ExamConnect is operated on a free-first basis and does not enable external digital-purchase flows inside the Android application.
Where purchases or payments are offered through the ExamConnect website or another permitted channel, payments may be processed by third-party payment processors such as Razorpay.
Payment providers may collect payment-related information according to their own privacy policies and legal requirements.
ExamConnect does not intentionally store complete payment card or bank credentials when those details are handled directly by a payment provider.
7. Cookies and Website Technologies
The ExamConnect website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions such as authentication, sessions, security, preferences, analytics, and improving the website experience.
You can control browser cookies through your browser settings, although disabling essential cookies may prevent some website features from functioning correctly.
This cookie section primarily applies to the website and web portal. Mobile-app storage and authentication mechanisms may operate differently.
8. When We Share Information
We may share information only where necessary to operate or protect ExamConnect.
This may include service providers that provide hosting, cloud infrastructure, content delivery, data storage, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, security, or technical support.
For example, ExamConnect uses Google services including Google Sign-In and Firebase.
Service providers process information only for the services they provide and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.
We may also disclose information where required by law, legal process, court order, or a lawful request from a government authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect users, ExamConnect, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity.
9. Data Safety and Third-Party SDKs
Third-party libraries and SDKs included in an application may transmit information from a user’s device even when that information is not transmitted directly to ExamConnect’s own server.
Google Play requires developers to account for data collected or shared by third-party SDKs when completing the Data Safety form.
We therefore review both ExamConnect’s own data practices and the behavior of third-party services used by the application.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
These may include HTTPS-encrypted network connections, authenticated API access, protected account sessions, access controls, secure credential storage mechanisms, and restricted access to production systems.
However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ExamConnect services, maintain user accounts and educational records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, maintain security, and enforce our agreements.
Learning activity such as tests, results, progress, and related account information may be retained while your account remains active or while reasonably required to provide the Service.
Analytics, crash, diagnostic, and other technical information may be retained according to operational needs and the retention policies or configuration of the relevant service providers.
When information is no longer required, we may delete or anonymize it, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup-retention requirements.
12. Account and Personal Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your ExamConnect account and associated personal data.

When we receive a valid account-deletion request, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with the account except information that we are legally required or reasonably permitted to retain for purposes such as legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements.
Google Play requires apps that allow account creation to provide users with a clear account-deletion process.
13. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to personal information associated with your account, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your account and personal information, or information about how your data is used.
You may contact us to exercise these rights.
You may also control certain device-level permissions and notification preferences through your Android device settings.
14. Children’s Privacy
ExamConnect is an educational and examination-preparation service intended for students and exam candidates.
ExamConnect is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization or consent where required by law.
If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information inappropriately, they may contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.
This section should remain consistent with the age groups selected in the Google Play Target audience and content declaration.
15. Links to Other Websites
ExamConnect may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party websites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing personal information.
16. International Processing
Some service providers used by ExamConnect, including cloud and Google services, may process information on servers located outside your state or country.
Where information is processed internationally, we take reasonable steps to use service providers and safeguards appropriate for the nature of the information and applicable law.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technologies, legal obligations, or data practices change.
When changes are made, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
