GSSSB CCE Notification 2026 : Vacancy Details

The Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar, has released a major recruitment notification (Advt No. 378/202526) for Class-III Group-A and Group-B posts. A total of 5370 vacancies are available for roles such as Junior Clerk, Senior Clerk, and Head Clerk across various government departments

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (As of 20/02/2026)

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 35 Years

Age Relaxation (Category-wise):

• General Category (Female): 5 Years
• Reserved Category (Male): 5 Years
• Reserved Category (Female): 10 Years (Max 45 years)
• PWD (Male): 10 Years (Max 45 years)
• Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 Years

Educational Qualification

Language: Proficiency in Gujarati, Hindi, or both.

Degree: Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services rules is required.

Selection Process

The selection involves a two-tier examination system:

1. Phase 1: Primary Examination (CBRT – MCQ): Joint screening test for Group A & B (150 Marks).
2. Phase 2: Main Examination:
   • Group-A: Descriptive Test (3 Papers, Total 350 Marks).
   • Group-B: Objective Test (MCQ – 200 Marks).
3. Document Verification: For candidates qualifying the main merit list.

3. Find Advt No. 378/202526 and click “Apply Now”.
4. Fill in Personal, Educational, and Other details.
5. Upload your scanned Passport Size Photo and Signature (Max 15 KB each).
6. Confirm your application to generate a Confirmation Number.
7. Pay the Application Fee online through the “Pay Fees” tab.
8. Print your application form for future reference.

CCE New Recruitment Rules (RR) 2026 | Exam Pattern

The Government of Gujarat has notified the Gujarat Subordinate Services Class III (Group A and Group B) Combined Competitive Examination Rules, 2026.

Key Changes in 2026 Rules:

• Merit Calculation: Final selection will be based only on Mains Examination marks.
• Prelims Role: The Preliminary exam is now strictly for screening purposes (Qualifying nature).
• Shortlisting: Approximately 7 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Mains exam.
• Unified Process: A single transparent exam for various Class III posts across state departments.
