Please note that this is not a direct recruitment drive but a mandatory eligibility test. Passing this exam grants candidates the eligibility to apply for future teacher/shikshan sahayak vacancies in Gujarat’s secondary and higher secondary schools.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must hold the required academic (Post-Graduate) and professional (B.Ed. or equivalent) qualifications for their specific subject.
• Final Year Students: Students currently in the final year of their PG or professional training (B.Ed) for the 2025-26 academic year are eligible to apply. Their eligibility will depend on passing their final results before the official recruitment starts.

Age Limit

• The minimum age requirement is 18 years as of the application date.

• Payment Mode: Strictly online via ATM-Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or Wallet.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

• Preliminary Exam (Tier 1): A 200-mark MCQ test divided into two sections (General Studies and Special Subject). A negative marking of 0.25 applies for every wrong answer.
• Mains Exam (Tier 2): Candidates meeting the Preliminary Cut-off will qualify for this descriptive written test. It consists of Paper-1 (Language Ability) and Paper-2 (Content & Pedagogy).
• Qualifying Marks: To be included in the merit list, General category candidates must score at least 60%, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS/PH) must score at least 55% in the Mains exam.
