GSSSB Gujarati Stenographer Recruitment 2026

The Gujarat Gaun Seva Pasandgi Mandal (GSSSB), Gandhinagar, has released an official notification for the GSSSB Gujarati Stenographer Recruitment 2026 to fill the post of Gujarati Stenographer, Grade-3, Class-3. A total of 25 vacancies are available across the Secretariat Cadre and Heads of Departments. Eligible candidates with a passion for stenography are invited to apply online through the OJAS website.

Age Limit (As of 06/03/2026)

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years

Age Relaxation:

• General Category (Female): 5 years (Up to 45 years)
• Reserved Category (Male): 5 years (Up to 45 years)
• Reserved Category (Female): 10 years (Up to 45 years)
• PwD Candidates: 10 to 20 years based on category (Up to 45 years)
• Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years

Educational Qualification

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
• Basic knowledge of Computer Application.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Skill Requirements

• Stenography Speed: 60 words per minute in Gujarati.
• Transcription: Must be able to transcribe shorthand notes at the required speed.

Salary / Pay Scale

• Fixed Pay (First 5 Years): 26,000/- per month.

Selection Process

The recruitment involves a three-stage process:

1. Qualifying Exam: Shorthand test (60 wpm).
2. Main Examination (Paper-1): Written test covering Gujarati Language and Computer Basics (100 Marks).
3. Skill Test (Paper-2): Shorthand and Computer Transcription (100 Marks).
4. Document Verification: For shortlisted candidates based on merit.
